We came as a couple for a first paragliding experience with Pierrot. And we loved it!
Excellent communication upstream, top explanations during preparation and the flight, I can only recommend Pierrot d'Ailement! What a pleasure!
Vars is an ideal region for paragliding, with take-off points all year round not far from the Alpes Maritimes. The 83, with towns like Toulon and Fréjus, is attracting more and more tourists who want to escape into nature for an unforgettable experience. You'll need to take the car for the day to visit the Grasse highlands and the Gorges du Loup, where you can go paragliding and admire the Côte d'Azur from the air. You'll also have the chance to sample the fine cuisine prepared in the village's best restaurants. Swimming, nature outings and a change of scenery are all on offer, so all you have to do is let yourself be tempted! Many people also book gites and other unusual accommodation in the valley for the weekend. Coming from the Var coast on Gréolieres you'll also be passing through the perfume capital, Grasse, for a little olfactory tour.

We had our first paragliding experience with my friend and it was just great! Pierrot was a great teacher from start to finish, explaining all the operations and manoeuvres during the flight.
My first paragliding flight with Pierrot, who managed to reassure me and give me one of the best moments of my life! An unforgettable experience!
The most important thing in tandem paragliding is to be able to accompany the pilot on take-off and landing in a take-off run, so you need to be comfortable on your legs and not be overweight in order to be agile on the ground.
Le flight a paragliding ascent lasts an average of 20 minutes, but this depends on how you feel during the flight, as everyone reacts differently to the sensations of flying. in direct contact with the elements, some people may feel slightly airsick or very well, but generally you have to wait 20 minutes for the discomfort to appear, but it's not always the case.
Many of you ask us to fly at the same time as your spouse, friends or children. We do our utmost to accommodate your request, and in most cases we do, but there are some flights where this is not possible, either technically or logistically.
It all depends on the season. When you make your booking by telephone, we'll advise you on what to wear. In general, we lend you a down jacket for the flight if it's cold, and you need to bring a small jacket, a pair of trainers, trousers and sunglasses. It's better to be a little warmer than cold in the air. To give you an idea, in winter we fly in down jacket trousers, and in summer in a T-shirt, always with jeans-type trousers.
Coming from Fréjus we were looking for a moment of adventure in nature and with Ailéments we were served! I contacted Pierrot by phone a week beforehand to book a flight paragliding on the Cheiron. I was a bit apprehensive about the idea of taking to the skies but he immediately reassured me and explained the activity very well. My partner accompanied me on the flight and was able to enjoy the natural surroundings while I waited quietly for the plane to land. We took a 4×4 up to the peaks via the ski station and that was quite an adventure! I loved it and the view from the take-off was simply splendid. Unexpectedly, the take-off was super smooth and I had no fears whatsoever .... which was no easy feat. Once up in the air, the sensation of gliding and adventure was there for the taking. I loved the feeling of gliding and Pierrot explained the flight very well and was very attentive. We spent about thirty minutes in the air between Coursegoules and Gréolieres, an unforgettable ballad in the air, with a magnificent view of the Mercantour and the French Riviera.
Coming from 83 you have several take-off sites to choose from, the first being the Lachens, also known as the roof of the Var it is located near de la Bastide and la Roque Esclapon, unfortunately the conditions are not very regular there and no professional pilot is installed on this site. Then there's the village of Saint Vallier de Thiey, where the take-off is very accessible but the difference in altitude is quite small, so you need to be in good conditions to make a good flight. Then there's the Gourdon site, well known to local and international paragliders. Our team also flies on request on this magnificent site.
