Diplomas and qualifications Instructor holding a Diplôme d'État de la Jeunesse, de l'Éducation Populaire et du Sport (DEJEPS) in paragliding and canyoning, with a valid professional card issued by the Direction Départementale de la Cohésion Sociale des Alpes-Maritimes.
Article 2 - Acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) apply to all paragliding services (tandem first flights, introductory and advanced courses) and canyoning services offered by Ailéments.
By making a reservation by telephone, e-mail or online, the customer declares that he/she has read these GTC and accepts them unreservedly. These GTC shall prevail over any other document. The customer acknowledges that he/she has the necessary legal capacity to contract and commit to the activity reserved.
In the case of a group or registration for several people, the subscriber undertakes to make these general terms and conditions of sale, as well as the legal notice and the quality charter, known to and approved by all participants.
Article 3 - Booking

- To take part in an activity Paragliding or Canyoning At Ailéments you must book in advance, subject to availability.
- Appointment confirmation The customer must confirm the appointment the day before the chosen date in order to validate the weather conditions. A confirmation SMS or phone call will be sent the day before the activity with practical information (place, time).
Article 4 - Prices and means of payment
- The rates are displayed in Euros including VAT on the website and may be modified at any time. The applicable rates are those in force on the day of booking.
- Payment is made by cheque or cash.
- Deposit For certain services (particularly groups or courses), a deposit of 30% of the total amount may be requested at the time of booking. This deposit constitutes a deposit within the meaning of article 1590 of the French Civil Code and is binding on both parties.
Article 5 - Services included and not included
Our prices include :
- Supervision by a State-certified instructor (DEJEPS)
- Loan of the technical and safety equipment needed for the activity (sail, harness, helmet, neoprene suit, harness, etc.).
- The instructor's professional liability insurance
Our prices do not include :
- Transport to the meeting point or departure site
- Accommodation, food, drinks and other personal equipment
- For paragliding courses: FFVL insurance licence (see article 7)
- Optional services (photos, videos) if offered
Article 6 - Conditions of participation
Terms and conditions:
- The activities offered by Ailéments are open to all, subject to the following conditions.
- Each participant must be fit and healthy, with no recent operations or injuries on the day of the activity.
- Participants must not be under the influence of drugs or in a state of inebriation.
- All medical constraints (asthma, diabetes, injuries, previous fractures, heart problems, etc.) must be reported to the instructor beforehand.
- The instructor reserves the right to exclude a participant if they do not respect the instructions or represent a danger to the group or themselves. In this case, no refund will be given.
Specific conditions Canyoning :
- Depending on the route chosen, level, height, weight and age will be taken into account.
- You must be able to swim at least 50 metres and put your head under water.
- Used to heights for abseiling.
- The customer must provide suitable closed shoes (such as trainers or sports shoes). A free loan can be made if the customer does not have any.
Specific conditions Paragliding :
- We place particular emphasis on passenger weight (recommended limit: 100 kg), the ability to move and run correctly so as to be active during the take-off and landing phases.
- Above 100 kg, the instructor is the sole judge of the possibility of taking the passenger with him, depending on the aerological conditions, the configuration of his equipment and his own weight. Flight time cannot be guaranteed.
Minors :
- Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult or provide written and signed parental authorisation.
- Minimum age and weight vary according to the activity - please contact us.
Pregnant women:
- Paragliding and canyoning are not recommended for pregnant women.
Medical certificate :
- For the paragliding courses (with the exception of tandem first flights), a medical certificate stating that you are not contraindicated in paragliding is required and must be less than one year old.
Risk awareness :
- The activities proposed by Ailéments are practised in a specific environment (unsafe natural environment). All participants acknowledge that they are aware of the risks inherent in outdoor sporting activities.
Article 7 - Insurance and liability
Instructor's insurance :
- All our instructors at Ailéments are state-qualified (DEJEPS), approved by youth and sport, and meet all the legal requirements in force.
- They have a professional indemnity insurance covering the supervision of the activities on offer. All supporting documents are available on request.
Participant insurance :
- We strongly advise you to be individually insured for civil liability for damage caused or suffered as a result of incidents or accidents not directly related to the activities or not resulting from the instructor or equipment failure.
- For tandem paragliding first flights The passenger is covered by the instructor's professional liability insurance.
- For paragliding courses Each student is required to take out a FFVL licence and insurance (Fédération Française de Vol Libre) including Civil Aviation Liability (CAR) insurance. If the student does not already have a FFVL licence for the current year, Ailéments will facilitate the purchase of a temporary (7-9 days, approximately 30-35€) or annual licence at the start of the course. The cost of this licence is not included in the course fee and remains the responsibility of the student.
Limitation of liability :
- In the event of an accident involving physical injury, Ailéments and the instructor will not be held responsible until the victim has been attended to by the appropriate rescue services (fire brigade, PGHM, SAMU). Any subsequent hospitalization or repatriation will be the responsibility of the accident victim's personal insurance.
Article 8 - Equipment
- The equipment loaned by Ailéments (glider, harness, helmet, wetsuit, harness, etc.) remains the property of Ailéments.
- The customer is responsible for the equipment entrusted to him/her. for the duration of the activity.
- In the event of loss, theft or damage attributable to the customer, the cost of repair or replacement will be invoiced to the customer at the current selling price of the equipment.
Article 9 - Gift vouchers
- Ailéments gift vouchers are valid 1 year from date of purchase.
- Although gift vouchers are nominative, they can be transferred free of charge to a third party. To do this, the original beneficiary must contact Ailéments by telephone to provide the name of the new beneficiary.
- Gift vouchers may not be resold under any circumstances.
- Booking a gift voucher is subject to the same cancellation conditions as standard bookings (see article 10).
Article 10 - Cancellation
Cancellation by the customer :
If you wish to cancel an activity (including a gift voucher) :
- The balance paid will be repaid in full if Ailéments is informed at least 20 days before the date of the activity.
- The balance will be reimbursed to you at 50% if Ailéments is informed for at least 10 days before the date of the activity.
- The balance paid will not be refunded if Ailéments is informed 8 days or less before the date of the activity.
- If a deposit has been paid: if the cancellation is made within the above-mentioned deadlines, the deposit will be reimbursed under the same conditions. If the cancellation occurs after the deadline, the deposit will be retained by Ailéments.
Cancellation by Ailéments :
- With your safety and enjoyment in mind, Ailéments reserves the right to cancel or postpone an outing if the weather conditions are not favourable. weather conditions are not favourable on the day of the activity.
- What's more, in canyoning, if the minimum number of people for the outing is not reached (minimum 3 people depending on the canyons), the outing may be cancelled.
- In the event of cancellation by Ailéments, the client will receive a full refund or will be offered a postponement to a later date, according to his or her preferences.
Article 11 - Delay
A meeting time and place are systematically communicated in advance. paragliding like canyoning.
For the smooth running of the activity and out of respect for the other participants and the instructor, Ailéments does not tolerate delays of more than 15 minutes.. Once this period has elapsed, the instructor may go on activity and no refund or compensation will be payable.
Article 12 - Theft and damage
Customers are warned that they are strongly advised not to bring or leave valuables in a vehicle during the activity.
The Ailéments instructors are in no way responsible or liable for any loss, theft or damage to the client's personal belongings.
Article 13 - Image rights
Ailéments reserves the right to use your image for promotional and advertising purposes, regardless of the media used (print, video, internet).
If you do not wish to appear, you can send us your request by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt.
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access, withdraw or delete information concerning you.
Article 14 - Applicable law and jurisdiction
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by and subject to French law.
In case of dispute or difference, the parts will endeavour to solve the litigation with the friendly one. The customer can address a written complaint to Ailéments in order to seek an amicable solution.
In the absence of an amicable agreement, all disputes relating to the interpretation or execution of these GCS will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Grasse., in accordance with the rules of ordinary law.
Article 15 - Amendment of the GTCS
Ailéments reserves the right to modify these General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time by publishing a new version on its website.
The GTC applicable are those in force on the date of the reservation made by the customer.
Article 16 - Miscellaneous provisions
If any of the provisions of these GTC are declared null and void or inapplicable, the other provisions will remain in force.
The temporary or permanent non-application of one or more clauses by Ailéments does not constitute a waiver of the other clauses, which continue to produce their effects.
Article 17 — Autonomous Pilot Shuttle Service
The shuttle service for independent paragliders is organised by the Syndicat Moniteur Ailéments Parapente Canyoning (SIREN 999 444 391, registered office: 138 Impasse Augarde, 83000 Toulon), a professional organisation separate from Ailéments. This service is not part of the commercial services provided by Ailéments described in the preceding articles.
Beneficiaries: the service is available to union member instructors, self-employed pilots affiliated as «user pilots» (annual fee of €10), and exceptionally to non-affiliated pilots on the basis of an increased visitor rate.
Current prices
– Take-off from the Ridges: €10 (member) / €12 (visitor)
– 300 take-off: €5 (member) / €6 (visitor)
The fees are set by resolution of the union's board and may be subject to change; the current version is the one published on wings.fr on the date of service provision.
Access conditions: all eligible pilots must hold a valid FFVL licence or an equivalent insurance certificate covering their paragliding activity, and must be able to present it upon simple request. Advance booking is recommended. The association reserves the right to refuse access to the service in case of non-compliance with safety instructions, proper conduct on board or agreed times.
Payment: by bank transfer, bank card, or cash with the issuing of a numbered receipt. All income is banked into the association's bank account.
Cancellation due to weather: In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, the association may cancel or postpone a shuttle service without entitlement to compensation.
Responsibility: Users, pilots and occasional beneficiaries of the service remain personally responsible for their paragliding activities and must have third-party liability insurance covering their activity (particularly via their FFVL licence). The shuttle vehicle is covered by insurance suitable for the incidental transport of persons within the framework of the syndicate's activity.
