The Ailéments sites: paragliding and canyoning in the Alpes-Maritimes

80% of our flights are from Gréolières, our historic site. It's the ideal spot: sea and mountain views, optimal conditions all year round, easy access. From mid-November to early March, we favour Gourdon for its southern orientation and winter sunshine. The day before your flight, the site will be confirmed according to the weather. The aim: to offer you the best conditions, not a default site.

Gréolières has been our playground for 20 years. We know every thermal and every air current. The site offers a view of both the Mediterranean and the Mercantour, with exceptional flying conditions 80% of the year. Take-off at 1,400 m, 800 m elevation gain, several possible directions. It offers the best balance of beauty, safety and accessibility in the 06 region.

Our three sites are spectacular, but Gréolières remains our favourite, with its unique 360° view of the sea and Alpine peaks. Gourdon offers a breathtaking view of the Gorges du Loup. Nice and Roquebrune offer the «feet in the water» flight. The most beautiful? The one where the conditions are perfect on the day of your flight.

Yes, you can express a preference. Final validation depends on the weather: wind, thermals, visibility. You should never fly at a site if the conditions are not optimal. You will receive confirmation by SMS the day before. Quality and safety come first.

Paragliding: all year round, weather permitting. Gréolières from March to mid-November, Gourdon from mid-November to early March (best winter sunshine). Winter often offers exceptional visibility. Canyoning: May to October depending on water flow and temperature. The Gours du Ray and the Gorges du Loup are accessible from April onwards if conditions are favourable.

SMS sent the day before between 5 pm and 8 pm confirming the site, time, and exact meeting point. We will analyse the 24-hour weather forecast to ensure the best conditions for you. If the weather deteriorates, we will offer you a free postponement.

Paragliding: One flight per day. Each flight lasts 20-45 mins depending on the package, we take time for the briefing and discussion. Canyoning: It's possible to combine two half-days (morning + afternoon), but it's tiring. We recommend one canyon per day to fully enjoy it and recover.

100% yes. Our sites are chosen for their safety and accessibility. In tandem paragliding, you don’t fly; the instructor handles everything. In beginner canyoning (Gours du Ray, Gorges du Loup), all obstacles have alternative routes. No experience is needed, just a desire to give it a go.

We fly from the best launch sites, not the nearest ones. Gréolières and Gourdon offer a vertical drop of 700–800 m (compared to 200–300 m in town), stable thermal conditions and exceptional views. You save 30–45 minutes on the journey, but you fly 2–3 times longer in better conditions. We prioritise the quality of the flight, not proximity.
