The route in detail
The Gorges du Loup offer a fun, aquatic course, often compared to a natural Aqualand. The canyon alternates between fun passages and more technical sections for those who want them.
The route :
- Natural slides: many, of all sizes
- Jumps: from 1 to 8 metres (all optional)
- Abseiling: up to 10 metres (can be bypassed if you're afraid of heights)
- Swimming passages: in crystal-clear pools
- Technical final: a more challenging section for thrill-seekers

How does an outing to the Gorges du Loup work?
- Meeting point: Meet at the car park near the tunnel on the D6. Bring a swimming costume, towel, waterproof shoes and a change of clothes.
- Equipment: Your instructor will equip you with a 5mm neoprene wetsuit, neoprene socks, helmet and harness. Safety briefing and explanation of techniques.
- Approach walk : A 15-minute descent to the start of the canyon, with a breathtaking view of the gorges.
- The descent : ~2 hours of aquatic adventure! A series of slides, jumps into pools and swimming passages. Each obstacle is optional: you manage your adrenaline level.
- Back to top : A 20-minute climb back to the car park. Debriefing and souvenir photos!

Frequently asked questions about paragliding
Where is the Gours du Ray canyon and how do I get there?
Le Gours du Ray is located near the village of Gréolières, in the Parc Naturel Régional des Préalpes d'Azur (Alpes-Maritimes). Allow 1h30 from Nice or Cannes, 45 min from Grasse. The exact meeting point on the D79 will be given to you when you book.
Who should visit the Gours du Ray canyon?
This is the ideal canyon for beginners! Accessible from the age of 8, it's perfect for families, groups of friends and beginners.
The jumps are all optional: you choose your level of excitement. The only requirement is that you know how to swim 25 metres.
What are the features of the route?
The Gours du Ray features a 4m warm-up abseil, several natural slides, jumps from 1 to 10 metres (optional) and a large turquoise pool several metres deep.
The descent takes around 2 hours.
How much does it cost and how do I book?

When is the best time to visit the Gours du Ray?
The canyon is open from spring to early autumn (April to October). Water levels vary according to rainfall. If conditions are unfavourable, we will postpone your trip free of charge.
