I've just come out of training, should I buy straight away?
No! We recommend rent your first year to fly regularly without investing 4000-6000€ immediately. Monthly rental from 100€. This gives you time to define your needs before buying the perfect wing.
How does paraglider hire work?
Complete ready-to-fly pack (glider + harness + reserve) for €150/month or €720/6 months. Regularly inspected school equipment, perfect for flying independently in your first year post-certificate. Flight or day hire also available.
When should I switch from leasing to buying?
After 6-12 months' hire, when you've accumulated 30-50 hours' flying time and you know exactly what type of pilot you are: touring, cross-country, hike-and-fly. Then we'll fit you out with a wing that's adapted to YOUR flying style, not a generic wing.
How much does it really cost to buy a complete paraglider?
Between €2500 and €6000 for a new wing on its own. Add a harness (€400-1200), reserve parachute (€600-900), helmet, radio and vario: you're looking at €4,000 to €9,500 for a fully equipped wing. By renting for the first year, you can spread out your investment intelligently.
The Gorges du Loup are also ideal for families.
New or used for my first purchase?
New for the wing (safety + guarantee + maintenance -50% for life at Aerotech). Second-hand available for harness and rescue. If you have rented from us before, we will deduct 10% from your rental payments on the purchase.
Is the flight test really free?
Yes, if you buy through us. We won't let you invest €3000-5000 without being sure of your choice. If you've rented from us, you'll already be familiar with our equipment and our support.
How does the Aerotech -50% reduction work?
Automatic for life on all equipment purchased from us. Complete overhaul at €100 instead of €200, repairs at half price. You save €500-800 over 10 years. Our rental sails also benefit from this partnership.
How long do I keep my paraglider once I've bought it?
6-10 years depending on use. Thanks to Aerotech maintenance at -50%, you can keep your wing in perfect condition without blowing your budget. First year rental + well-considered purchase = best value for money over 10 years.
