At the gateway to the Gorges du Verdon, Castellane is 50 minutes from Gréolières via the scenic Route Napoléon. At the end of the road, up to 1,000 m of vertical drop and flights of 10 to 60 minutes over the Préalpes d'Azur, between the Mediterranean and the Mercantour — a mountain escape for Verdon locals.

There are flying sites around Castellane (La Baume, Cadières de Brandis), but at Ailéments we fly at Gréolières: south-facing, regular breezes, more than 250 flyable days a year and a school right by the landing field. The Route Napoléon soon becomes part of the adventure.
And the area doesn't lack for arguments to make the day a real outing: the Gorges du Verdon, Lake Castillon, the hilltop villages of Haut-Verdon, or canyoning for the more adventurous.
Once in the air, the view stretches far: from the snow-capped Mercantour to the Mediterranean, taking in the limestone ridges of the Cheiron and the villages clinging to the mountainside. In a single flight, you take in both the sea and the peaks. Many people make a full day of it: a stop in a hilltop village, a picnic by the water, or an outdoor activity.

Ailéments does not fly over the Gorges du Verdon: our flights take off from Gréolières, in the Alpes-Maritimes, 50 minutes from Castellane. From the Cheiron you cannot see the Verdon, but the view takes in the peaks around Castellane, the Mercantour and the whole French Riviera, as far as Fréjus and Saint-Tropez.
A flight fits easily into a stay in the Verdon: fly in Gréolières in the morning, then head back to the Gorges du Verdon or Lake Castillon in the afternoon. The price is the same as everywhere with us: child flight €100, ascending flight €140, prestige flight €250, video optional at €30.
For the sporty, the Saint-Auban canyon is 30 minutes from Castellane. We do not guide canyoning in the Verdon: many of our clients from the Verdon come to descend the canyons of the Gorges du Loup.
Allow 50 minutes via the Route Napoléon to Gréolières. The meeting point is at the landing field, next to our school, in the village; our 4x4 then drives you up to take-off. The site, the time and the GPS point of the meeting are sent to you by text message the day before, according to the weather.

We fly in Gréolières all year round, except from January to mid-February, with the best conditions in spring and autumn, early-morning flights in summer and clear days in winter. As you are coming from Castellane, the meeting point is confirmed the day before by text message according to the weather, and postponing is free: you only pay once you are back on the ground.
Tandem flight is truly for everyone: families with children as young as 5, couples, groups of friends or groups for a birthday or a bachelor/bachelorette party, with dedicated slots.
