For a tandem paragliding flight from Fréjus, you have to leave the coast: our flights take off from Gréolières, in the Préalpes d'Azur, 1 h 10 by road, or from Gourdon when the weather calls for it.
Why make the drive? Pierrot, instructor and founder of the school, sums it up: “an unbeatable view of the Mercantour and the French Riviera”, and “our Cheiron mountain rises to 1,800 m, which makes it a wild spot with quality flights”. Up to 1,000 m of height difference depending on the take-off, flights of 10 to 60 minutes: for the rest, “you only have to read the reviews”.
A Roman town by the sea, Fréjus stays within reach the same day: if you fly in the morning, you are back for the afternoon. Our guide things to do in Fréjus helps you choose what comes next, and our paragliding in the Var page gives the other departure points in the department.
On this page: where we fly, the road from Fréjus, what you see from up there, the options and your questions.
