At altitude

Is paragliding cold?

Colder than down below: it is 10 to 15 °C cooler at altitude than in Nice, and our take-offs at Gréolières are at 1,100, 1,500 and 1,800 m. Even in summer, bring something warm.

Think about the length of your flight too: a prestige flight of 45 minutes to 1 hour keeps you in the air much longer than a child flight of 10 to 15 minutes.

Shoes

Which shoes for a paragliding flight?

Closed shoes that hold your foot well: trainers or hiking shoes. No heels.

Taking off

You follow your instructor's movement for a few steps, without ever jumping.
