Mont Lachens (1,714 m), the highest point in the Var, is a beautiful free-flight site, with tandem flights offered from La Roque-Esclapon. At Ailéments, we fly at Gréolières, about 1 h 10 from Fréjus: up to 1,000 m of vertical drop, more than 250 flyable days a year and our school at the foot of the take-off. That is where our tandem flights and courses take place.
The summit of Lachens can be reached via a tarmac road from the Col de Clavel (D21), crossing the listed village of Mons. And the Gorges du Verdon are all close to extending the adventure.
From La Roque-Esclapon, Gréolières is 45 minutes away: up to 1,000 m of vertical drop and flights of 10 to 60 minutes over the Préalpes d'Azur.
