The reason why most of our flights take place at Gréolières is simple: its south-facing aspect, regular valley breezes and over 250 flyable days per year. Many people from Nice go up for the day, alone, as couples or with family, and the site is suitable for a gentle first discovery as well as for learning to fly for those who want to go further.

Nice isn't the only one to benefit from the spot: people also come here from Cannes, Antibes, Grasse or Vence, all less than an hour’s drive from Gréolières. On the Nice side, the introductory session can be perfectly combined with a stroll through the Old Nice, a march on the Promenade des Anglais or the climb to the Castle Hill — from transforming the flight into a genuine Côte d'Azur getaway.

Regarding the season, you can fly almost all year round from Nice. Spring (April-June) and autumn (September-October) offer the most consistent conditions, with gentle thermals perfect for a first flight; in the summer, we favour the morning slots, which are calmer and cooler at altitude; and winter offers a unique experience, with 'sea view' introductory flights. Roquebrune-Cap-Martin When the Blue Gulf beach is clear of bathers. Regardless of the period, the slot is always confirmed the day before by SMS according to the weather, and rescheduling remains free if conditions are not met: you only pay for your flight once you are in the air, never before. This is also what brings back many of our Nice passengers, season after season — often to move from an introductory flight to training this time.
