Perched in the hinterland of Nice, Gréolières is our main site. It is here that 80% of our flights take place, thanks to particularly favourable aerological conditions.

YOUR FLIGHT WITH AILÉMENTS
A paragliding flight from Nice typically starts with a transfer to the launch site, often on a nearby hill or mountain overlooking the city and the Mediterranean Sea. Once at the launch, you'll receive a briefing from your instructor, who will explain the process, safety procedures, and what to expect during the flight. You'll then be harnessed into the paraglider, which is laid out on the ground. When the conditions are right (a steady breeze), you and your instructor will run a short distance until the paraglider inflates and lifts you gently into the air. The flight itself offers spectacular panoramic views of Nice, its coastline, the Baie des Anges, and the surrounding Alps. Depending on the wind conditions, you might soar for anything from 10 to 30 minutes, enjoying the feeling of freedom and the incredible scenery. The landing is usually a smooth affair on a designated field near the coast, guided by your instructor.
Your experience of first paragliding experience starts the day before with a confirmation SMS with the GPS location of the meeting point and the precise time depending on the weather.
D-Day:
- Meet at the indicated point (school car park in Gréolières Village, the GPS point will be indicated by SMS the day before departure).
- Ascent by 4×4 to the take-off site (between 5 and 20 minutes of runway depending on conditions)
- Safety briefing: your instructor explains take-off and landing instructions
- Equipment: harness, helmet and harness for tandem paragliding
- Take-off: a few running steps into the wind and you're in the air
- Flying: contemplation, thrills or acrobatics of your choice
- Soft landing in the Grand-Pré at Gréolières Village

Where exactly is the take-off site?
We mainly fly from two sites:
Gréolières (80% flights) :
- GPS address: Col de Bleyne, 06620 Gréolières
- 45 minutes from Nice on the D2210 then D2
- Picturesque route through the Gorges du Loup
Roquebrune Cap Martin (20% of flights) :
- Meeting point notified the day before
- 30 minutes from Nice via the A8 or the Basse Corniche
The choice of location depends on the weather conditions. We'll text you the exact location the evening before.
Is there on-site parking?
Yes, both sites have free car parks:
- Gréolières car park at the pass, approx. 30 spaces
- Roquebrune free public car park near the meeting point
In high season (July-August), we recommend arriving 15 minutes early.
When is the best time to fly in Nice?
The Côte d'Azur enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year, making it possible to fly virtually all year round.
By season :
- Spring (March-June) : Ideal conditions, moderate thermals, excellent visibility
- Summer (July-August) : Very good, early morning flights recommended (before 11am)
- Autumn (Sept-Nov) : Excellent conditions, fewer people
- Winter (Dec-Feb) : Flights possible in fine weather, with views of the snow-covered Alps
