Antibes, a historic town between Nice and Cannes, is located 45 minutes from the site of paragliding from Gréolières. This exceptional spot, perched high up in 1,800 metres On the ridges of Cheiron, it offers a panoramic view over the entire Côte d'Azur.

Gréolières is our main website: our school and our workshop are based in the village, on the verge of landing. Flight conditions Perfect all year round, with panoramic views of the sea and mountains — from Cap d'Antibes to Mercantour.

Closer to Antibes, the site of Gourdon offers an alternative to 35 mins. And between two flights, discover what to do in Antibes or the Canyoning near Antibes in the Gorges du Loup.

Between take-off at 1,800 m on the Cheiron and landing in a meadow, it’s over 1,000 metres of elevation gain and flights lasting 10 to 60 minutes depending on the package. The contrast is what makes the experience so appealing: you swap the Antibes seaside for the vast spaces of the hinterland, before finding, from the sky, the Cap d'Antibes and the whole bay.

Where to fly from Antibes?

Two mountain sites in the backcountry, chosen the day before according to the weather and confirmed by SMS. The journey, through the Gorges du Loup, is part of the adventure.

Main site · 45 min

Gréolières site (1,800 m)

Crêtes du Cheiron, ideal conditions all year round. School and workshop based in the village, at the edge of the landing area (natural meadow).

Stunning views stretching from the sea to the mountains, from Cap d'Antibes to Mercantour.

Alternative · 35 min

Gourdon site (1,080 m)

Closer to Antibes, takeoff from one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France.

Direct view of the Gorges du Loup and the coast. Held due to the day's meteorological conditions.

  • Port Vauban, the largest marina in Europe
  • Le Cap d'Antibes and the old town in the distance
  • The Lérins Islands (Saint Margaret and Saint Honoratus)
  • La Mediterranean which stretches beneath your feet to the horizon

Why two mountain sites rather than one coastal launch? Because the inland aerology is unparalleled on the coast: southern exposure, steady breezes and over 250 flyable days per year. This difference in elevation, impossible to find near the sea, transforms a simple jump into a real navigation above the ridges – accessible from the very first flight as for anyone who wants to train in piloting afterwards.

The spot attracts enthusiasts from all over the bay, from Nice, Cannes or Grasse as much as Antibes. And the day readily extends to the seaside: a stroll on the Cap d'Antibes, the old town and its Provençal market, the Picasso museum, or the beaches of Juan-les-Pins. To marry the sensations of altitude with the gentle pace of life on the peninsula.

Families, couples, friends or solo thrill-seekers: the introductory flight is suitable for everyone. Children as young as 4 can experience flying, starting gently in the morning; the more daring can book aerobatics; and those keen to learn to fly can follow it up with a Gréolières course. Many visitors to Antibes make this a highlight of their stay on the Riviera — whether it’s a family morning at Marineland, the Juan-les-Pins jazz festival or a day on the beaches, flying adds that extra touch of adventure that you won’t find on a postcard. And since you only pay for your first flight once you’ve landed – with no advance payment or commitment required – all you need to do is choose a date and let yourself be carried above the Côte d’Azur, where the peninsula finally reveals its full contours – a panorama you’d never suspect exists when viewed from the beach.

The French Riviera from the air

From Cap d'Antibes to the Cheiron ridges: a taste of what awaits you on your first flight. Souvenir video option available (+ €30), included in the Prestige flight.

From take-off, the scene changes: the ground recedes, silence descends, and the Antibes peninsula appears in the distance — Port Vauban, the Cap, the Lérins Islands resting on the Mediterranean. The onboard video, filmed by your instructor, captures every moment of the flight, from the great leap to the gentle landing. The perfect memory to relive and share once you're back.

D-Day

How does a paragliding flight work?

A straightforward and reassuring experience, supervised from start to finish by your state-qualified instructor. The location (Gréolières or Gourdon) will be confirmed by text message the day before.

Confirmation the day before

SMS with the chosen site, the GPS point of the meeting and the time according to the weather.

Journey through the Gorges

35 to 45 minutes from Antibes via the D2085 or D3, through the hilltop villages.

Briefing & equipment

Safety instructions, harness, helmet. A few running steps into the wind and you are flying.

Take-off & landing

Contemplation, thermals or acrobatics of your choice, then a gentle landing in a meadow.

Once in the air, you lead the dance: you can take control for a few moments, request acrobatics, or simply enjoy the silence. The instructor will finish with a debrief and give you the video if you chose it. No preparation needed: a few running steps are enough for take-off, and the flight adapts to your mood, from a gentle stroll to more thrilling sensations.

Almost all year round, you can fly above Antibes. Spring and autumn are the most consistent, summer is best enjoyed first thing in the morning (the air is cooler at altitude), and winter lends itself to ski paragliding. The meeting is confirmed the day before by SMS, depending on the weather, and rescheduling is free: you only pay for your flight once you've landed, never in advance.
