The day before your outing, your instructor will analyse the hydrological conditions (water level, weather over the previous few days, accessibility) and confirm the meeting point by text message. Meet your guide at the Gorges du Loup car park (exact location sent by text message the day before). On site, you put on your 5 mm neoprene wetsuit over your swimming costume. Helmet, harness, lanyard, descender: all the technical equipment is provided and adjusted to your size.
Your qualified guide will explain the basic techniques: jump position, use of the descender, communication signals. No technical jargon, just concrete information. Your safety is our priority.
Depending on the canyon, it takes between 10 and 30 minutes to walk to the starting point. It's a great opportunity to warm up and admire the Pre-Alps landscape from the heights.
And off you go. First slide, first thrills. Your guide goes first to show you the technique, then accompanies you to each obstacle. Jumps are always optional - you can go around them if you prefer. The pace adapts to the group.
Exit the canyon, return to the car park (sometimes with a short climb back up). Get changed and share your impressions with the group. If you opted for the photo/video option, get your pictures of the experience.

Children aged 8 and over can take part in our beginners' courses, such as the Gours du Ray. They must be able to swim and follow the guide's instructions. The day courses are accessible from the age of 12. There is no upper age limit as long as you are in good physical condition. An ideal family activity for sharing the thrills with your children.
Yes, essential. You need to be able to swim 25 metres and put your head under water without apprehension. Some pools require you to swim a few metres. If you're not comfortable in the water, this activity is not for you.
Supervised by a state-certified guide, the risks are kept under control. We check the weather conditions and water flow before each outing. Our equipment is inspected regularly. Accidents happen mainly on unsupervised outings. With Wings, You'll be working in an environment where safety is paramount.
We supply: 5 mm neoprene wetsuit, helmet, harness, lanyard, descender, canyoning bag.
You'll need to bring: a swimming costume (under your wetsuit), closed-toe shoes such as used trainers (they'll get soaked), a towel and dry clothes for the return journey. Leave your valuables in the vehicle.
Closed trainers that you are prepared to get wet and damaged. No sandals, flip-flops or new shoes. Old running shoes or aquashoes with thick soles are ideal. Grip is essential on the sometimes slippery rocks.
The season runs from May to September. July and August offer the best conditions: warmer water (15-18°C), moderate flow, long days. In May-June and September, neoprene wetsuits compensate for the cooler temperatures (12-15°C). Out of season, the canyons may be impassable.
For a half-day: allow 3h30 in total (meeting point, equipment, 15-minute walk, 2-hour descent, return). For a full day: 5-6 hours (30-45 minute walk, 4 hour descent, return). Pack a snack for the full-day option.
The Gorges du Loup are 40 minutes from Cannes on the Grasse road and then the D3. Meet at the Pont du Loup or Bar-sur-Loup depending on the route. Exact GPS location sent by SMS the day before.
