From one end of the department to the other, the 06 offers a rare variety of flying opportunities: you can fly in the morning overlooking the sea at Roquebrune, in the mountains at Gréolières in the afternoon, and try your hand at flying the next day at Gourdon. This variety is the true signature of the 06: where most regions are content with one spot, we operate across three complementary sites, chosen each day according to the weather and season. The result is that we fly over 250 days a year — from contemplative flight above the ridges to a sea-view baptism in the dead of winter. A flexibility that benefits both the beginner looking for their first thrill and the pilot who wants to progress from site to site.
All our take-offs are accessible from the main cities on the Côte d'Azur - Nice, Cannes, Grasse, but also Antibes, Vence or Menton, all within an hour of a site. And the day easily extends with a swim, a visit to a hilltop village or a canyon descent in the hinterland – a way to discover the department from a different perspective, from the sky.

Regarding the formulas, the catalogue is the same across all three sites, adaptable according to your preference. Child flight (Morning, from 4 years) for a gentle first time; the Ascending flight, best-seller, to go and look for the ancestors; the Educational flight and the Walk & Fly for those who wish to understand and walk before they fly; the Paragliding on skis winter since Gréolières 1400; and the Prestige flight, long duration, including 4K video. All include approved equipment (Alpha 7, Mentor, Sigma wings), supervision by a state-qualified instructor, and insurance.

How does a paragliding flight in the Alpes-Maritimes work?
A simple and reassuring experience, supervised from start to finish by your state-qualified instructor. The site is chosen according to the weather and confirmed by SMS the day before.

Briefing & equipment

Take-off & landing
Contemplation, thermals, or acrobatics of your choice, then a gentle landing.
Once in the air, the flight is yours: take control, Whether you want to perform acrobatics or just be carried along, it's up to you. The instructor concludes with a debrief and gives you the video if you've chosen it. No physical condition is required – a few running steps are enough for take-off – and each introductory flight is adapted to your profile, from a 4-year-old child to a trainee pilot.
We are flying in the 06 almost all year round, and that is precisely the department’s strength: when one site isn’t suitable, another takes over. Spring and autumn offer the most consistent thermals; in summer, flying takes place early in the morning; and winter offers the chance to fly with a view of the sea from Roquebrune. Your booking is confirmed the day before via text message, and rescheduling is free of charge if the weather isn’t on your side — a convenience that few schools, restricted to a single spot, can offer. And as is the case everywhere at Ailéments, you only pay for your first flight once you’ve landed, with no advance payment or commitment required: simply choose your date and let the weather and our instructors take care of the rest.

At what age can you start paragliding?
Christenings: from 4 years (Child flight. Stages: from 12 years old. No upper age limit if physical condition allows. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Details: Minimum age for paragliding.
When is the best time to fly in the 06?
+250 flying days per year. Spring: regular thermal activity. Summer: morning flights. Autumn: stable conditions. Winter: sunny days (and sea view flights at Roquebrune).
Do I need to be in any particular physical condition?
Baptisms: None. Courses: the ability to run a few metres at takeoff. No sports experience necessary – accessible to everyone.
How much does a first-time paragliding experience cost in the 06 department?

What's the difference between a baptism and a course?
Tandem Flight : a tandem flight – the instructor flies, you enjoy the ride. Stage You learn to fly on your own, progressing over several days until you are autonomous.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Free deferral On the date of your choice, free of charge. You’ll receive a text message the day before. With over 250 days available, it’s easy to reschedule.
Are first-time paragliding flights safe?

Can I film my paragliding flight?

What is the maximum weight for a first-time dive?

J’ai pris attache avec Ailements car je souhaitais découvrir le site de Greolieres en tant que parapentiste et cela en toute sécurité avec un coaching « personnalisé ». Du coup Pierrot, le patron de Ailements m’a donné rendez vous sur le site afin de m’accompagner sur cette journée découverte de site. C’était purement génial. Super briefing météo, super briefing sur le spot de vol avec les coins qui permettent de monter et les pièges à éviter. Une fois décollé, j’ai eu des conseils via radio et par la suite j’ai pu suivre Pierrot en vol. Franchement c’était top, avec un super état d’esprit et à chaque fois la sécurité au centre de tout.
