Course of your canyoning trip

Appointments and equipment

Meet your guide at the Gorges du Loup car park (exact location sent by text message the day before). On site, you put on your 5 mm neoprene wetsuit over your swimming costume. Helmet, harness, lanyard, descender: all the technical equipment is provided and adjusted to your size.

Safety briefing

Your qualified guide will explain the basic techniques: jump position, use of the descender, communication signals. No technical jargon, just concrete information. Your safety is our priority.

Approach walk

Depending on the canyon, it takes between 10 and 30 minutes to walk to the starting point. It's a great opportunity to warm up and admire the Pre-Alps landscape from the heights.

The descent

And off you go. First slide, first thrills. Your guide goes first to show you the technique, then accompanies you to each obstacle. Jumps are always optional - you can go around them if you prefer. The pace adapts to the group.

Return and memories

Exit the canyon, return to the car park (sometimes with a short climb back up). Get changed and share your impressions with the group. If you opted for the photo/video option, get your pictures of the experience.

How much does a canyoning trip from Toulon cost?

You'll pay €55 per person for a half-day discovery trip (2-3 hours of descent, equipment included). The sporting day package costs €80 for 4-5 hours in more challenging canyons. A combination of paragliding and canyoning costs €190 for a full day.

Children as young as 8 can take part in our beginners' courses, such as the Jabron canyon. They must be able to swim and follow the guide's instructions. Day trips are open to children aged 12 and over. Family canyoning, ideal for sharing the thrills with your children.

Yes, essential. You need to be able to swim 25 metres and put your head under water without apprehension. Some of the pools in the rivers of the Var require you to swim several metres. If you're not comfortable in the water, this activity is not for you.

Supervised by a state-qualified instructor, the risks are kept under control. We check the weather conditions and water flow before each outing. Our equipment is inspected regularly. Canyoning safety is our absolute priority.

We supply: 5 mm neoprene wetsuit, helmet, harness, lanyard, descender, canyoning bag.

You'll need to bring: a swimming costume (under your wetsuit), closed-toe shoes such as used trainers (they'll get soaked), a towel and dry clothes for the return journey.

Closed trainers that you are prepared to get wet and damaged. No sandals, flip-flops or new shoes. Ideally, old running shoes or aquashoes with thick soles.

The season runs from May to September. July and August offer the best conditions: warmer water, moderate flow, long days. It's the ideal time to vary your pleasures between beaches and water activities in the mountains.

For a half-day: allow 4-5 hours in total (journey from Toulon ~1h30, equipment, descent 2-3 hours, return). For a full day: 7-8 hours (journey, descent 4 hours, return). Pack a snack for the full-day option.
