Fréjus, a town with a rich Roman heritage between the sea and the mountains, is the ideal starting point for discovering the paragliding in the PACA region. From the Var town, it takes just 1 hour 15 minutes to reach the site of Gréolières in the Préalpes d'Azur, one of the best hang-gliding spots in the region. Fréjus is also a gateway to the Var, This is one of the most popular departments for hang-gliding in the PACA region.
Gréolières is our main site, on the crests of the Cheiron. This authentic village in the Haut pays Grassois offers exceptional flying conditions in a safe environment, with a 360° view over the entire Côte d'Azur, from the Esterel Massif to the Mercantour Alps. Our school and workshop are based in the village, on the edge of the landing.

First-time paragliding flights from Fréjus take place at our Gréolières site in the Préalpes d'Azur, which can be reached in around 1 hour 15 minutes by road from Grasse. The route takes you through the magnificent landscapes of Provence, between vineyards and hilltop villages. You will receive the exact GPS coordinates by text message the day before.
You fly over the Gorges du Loup (700 m below), the hilltop villages of the Préalpes d'Azur and the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon. The panorama stretches from the Mercantour to the Côte d'Azur coastline. It's a different spectacle from l'Estérel, but the flights last between 20 and 60 minutes in optimal aerological conditions - and you can discover the red rocks on a hike after your flight!
The PACA region enjoys a Mediterranean climate that is ideal for hang-gliding, with over 300 days of sunshine a year. Spring (April-June) offers stable conditions with regular thermals. Summer favours early morning flights for a moment of relaxation at altitude. Autumn is perfect for the visibility and colours of the Provençal landscapes. In winter, make the most of the sunshine for a breathtaking paragliding outing.
It takes around 1 hour 15 minutes to reach Gréolières from Fréjus. The route passes through Grasse, the perfume capital, then crosses the Haut Pays Grassois and the Gorges du Loup. A beautiful scenic route that's all part of the adventure. Free parking at the take-off site.
Tandem paragliding is accessible to everyone from the age of 4. We offer a Child's Flight package at €100, with flights scheduled in the morning when the air is calm. Children love discovering landscapes from the air, and our instructors adapt their approach to reassure them.
The limit is 90 kg, determined by the certification of our tandem equipment. Beyond this limit, the glider cannot guarantee optimal flight safety. If you are close to this limit, contact us to discuss it.
Even in summer in the Var, It's cooler at 1400 m altitude. Here's what we recommend you wear for the flight: closed-toe shoes (trainers or hiking boots), long trousers and a windproof jacket. We supply an approved helmet and a comfortable harness. In winter, add a hat and gloves.
Safety is our priority. If flight conditions do not allow you to fly safely, your flight will be postponed free of charge to a date of your choice. You pay nothing until the flight takes place. The day before, you will receive an SMS confirming or postponing your flight.
