Gourdon, perched at an altitude of 760 metres, is nicknamed the «eagle's nest» of the Côte d'Azur. Listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, Gourdon is an ideal base from which to explore the region. paragliding in the hinterland of Nice. Want to extend your experience on the ground? From Gourdon, our instructors will mainly take you flying on the site of Gréolières, Our main spot, while also offering flights from the Embarnier site depending on conditions.
The Gréolières site, on the crests of the Cheiron, is our main playground for the paragliding lessons near Gourdon. Taking off at an altitude of 1,800 metres, it offers a much greater difference in altitude and longer flights in a wild and unspoilt setting. This is where 90 % of our flights take place.

When weather conditions dictate, we also fly from the Embarnier site, directly accessible from Gourdon. This take-off overlooks the Gorges du Loup and offers a bird's eye view of the medieval village clinging to its rocky outcrop.

The Embarnier site is located on the plateau above the village of Gourdon, at an altitude of 1,080 metres. From take-off, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Gorges du Loup, the Mediterranean and the hinterland of Nice. The day before your flight, you'll receive an SMS with the exact GPS coordinates of the meeting point and the scheduled take-off time.
From Nice, allow around 45 minutes to drive through the magnificent Gorges du Loup - a picturesque drive that's already part of the adventure. From Cannes, allow 35 minutes on the D3. From Grasse, the journey is even shorter: just 20 minutes on the D2085. If you're coming from Monaco or Menton, allow around 1 hour 15 minutes via the A8.
Yes, the Embarnier site enjoys an exceptional microclimate, with over 300 days of flying per year. The best periods are spring (March to June) and autumn (September to November), when the thermals are steady and the weather conditions stable. Summer also offers excellent conditions, with early morning flights to avoid mid-day turbulence. In winter, sunny days mean flights with exceptional visibility over the snow-covered Alps.
Children as young as 4 years old can fly with our Child Flight package, specially designed for them. These flights are scheduled in the morning between 8am and 10am, when the weather conditions are calmer. Our instructors adapt their approach to reassure the youngest: fun explanation of the flight, gentle take-off, measured sensations. There's no maximum age, as long as you're fit enough to do a few running steps on take-off.
The maximum weight is 90 kg for technical reasons linked to the certification of tandem equipment. Above this weight, the glider cannot guarantee an optimal and safe flight. If you are close to this limit, contact us to discuss it: depending on the conditions on the day and the instructor available, solutions can sometimes be found.
Make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the altitude: closed-toe shoes such as trainers or hiking boots (no sandals, flip-flops or heels), long trousers to protect your legs during take-off and landing, and a windproof jacket because it's always cooler at altitude than on the ground. In winter, add gloves and a hat. We supply an approved helmet and a comfortable harness for the flight.
Safety is our absolute priority. If the weather conditions do not allow you to fly in complete safety (wind too strong, thunderstorm, rain, fog), we offer you a free rescheduling to the date of your choice. There are no costs to you until the flight takes place. The day before the flight, your instructor analyses the forecast and confirms the postponement by text message.
Yes, the GoPro video option is available for an additional €30 (included free in the Prestige Flight). Your instructor carries a GoPro camera fixed to a perch and films the highlights of your flight: take-off, panoramas, your reactions, landing. You leave with an HD video file transferred directly to your phone. It's the perfect souvenir to share with friends and family.

No, tandem paragliding is accessible to everyone. You don't need any previous experience or to be in any particular physical condition. The only requirement is to be able to take a few running steps on take-off (5 to 10 metres). Once in the air, you sit comfortably in the harness and just enjoy the flight. The instructor manages the entire flight.
Absolutely. During the briefing, tell your instructor what you'd like to do: a contemplative flight to admire the scenery, or a dynamic flight with tricks like wing-overs (big oscillations) or 360°s (tight turns). Aerobatics are included in all our packages on request, weather conditions permitting. If you prefer a calm flight, please specify that too.
