Taking off from the crests of Le Cheiron offers an exceptional free-flight experience. This site, where 90 % of our first flights take place, offers ideal flying conditions with a 360° panorama of the Côte d'Azur. Our school and workshop are based in the village, on the edge of the landing.

The day before your flight, you will receive a confirmation SMS with the meeting place and time.
D-Day:
- Rendezvous on site - Meet your instructor at take-off from Gréolières or Gourdon

Where is the take-off site from Hyères?
First-time paragliding flights from Hyères take place at our Gréolières site in the Préalpes d'Azur, which can be reached in around 1 hour 50 minutes via the A8 motorway and panoramic roads. The route takes you through the magnificent landscapes of Provence, with vineyards, hinterland Varois and hilltop villages. You will receive the exact GPS coordinates by text message the day before. An excursion from Hyères that's well worth the diversions.
What can you really see from Gréolières?
You'll fly over the Gorges du Loup (700 m below), the hilltop villages of the Préalpes d'Azur and the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon. The panorama stretches from the Mercantour to the Côte d'Azur coastline. It's a different spectacle from the Îles d'Or, but the flights last between 20 and 60 minutes in optimal aerological conditions - and you can visit Porquerolles by boat after your flight!
When is the best time to fly from Hyères?
The region enjoys a Mediterranean climate that is ideal for hang-gliding, with over 300 days of sunshine a year. Spring (April-June) offers stable flying conditions with regular thermals. How long is the journey from Hyères?
It takes around 1 hour 50 minutes to reach Gréolières from Hyères. The route takes you along the A8 towards Nice, then Grasse and the Gorges du Loup. It's an aerial adventure through unspoilt Mediterranean landscapes. Free parking at the take-off site.
Can you combine paragliding with a visit to Hyères?
Absolutely! You can combine your flight with an outing canyoning in the Gorges du Loup, close to our flight site. After your flight, make the most of the charms of Hyères: the Îles d'Or accessible by boat (Porquerolles, Port-Cros), the Giens peninsula and its beaches, the salt marshes classified as a nature reserve, or the old medieval hilltop town. Is paragliding accessible to all?
A first paragliding flight is a family activity accessible from the age of 4. We offer a Child's Flight package for €100, with flights scheduled in the morning when the air is calm. There's no need to be in any particular physical condition for beginner paragliding, and our instructors adapt their approach to reassure young and old alike.
What is the maximum authorised weight for flying?
The limit is 90 kg, determined by the certification of our tandem equipment. Beyond this limit, the glider cannot guarantee optimal flight safety. If you are close to this limit, contact us to discuss it.
What should I wear for a paragliding flight?
Even in summer in the Var, it gets cooler at 1400 m altitude. Bring closed shoes (trainers or hiking boots), long trousers and a windproof jacket. We provide an approved helmet and a comfortable harness.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
Safety is our priority. If the weather conditions do not allow you to fly safely, your flight will be postponed free of charge to a date of your choice. You pay nothing until the flight takes place. The day before, you will receive an SMS confirming or postponing your flight.
Can I give a paragliding gift voucher?
Our gift card is valid for one year, giving the recipient time to choose their ideal date. It can be used for all our packages, from Child's Flight to Prestige Flight. Ideal for a loved one visiting or living in Hyères.
Can I film my paragliding flight?
The GoPro video option is available for €30 (included in the Prestige Flight). Your instructor films the highlights: take-off facing the Pre-Alps, flying over the crests with a panoramic view of the Côte d'Azur, and landing. Memories transferred directly to your phone.
Is it possible to learn to fly after a first flight?
If baptism has made you want to go further, our paragliding school Gréolières offers a full range of training courses, from beginner to advanced, right up to pilot licences. Gréolières is an ideal place to learn, thanks to its varied flying conditions and professional supervision.
