How does an internship work?

Welcome and briefing

Meeting point at Gréolières. Programme presentation, weather check and equipment distribution.

Theoretical courses

Before each session: flight mechanics, aerology, weather and safety. Theory is essential for understanding and progressing.

Training hill exercises

Inflation, sail control, launch and landing techniques. Repetition until mastery.

Supervised flights

First major flights from sites suited to your level. Constant radio supervision. We have several sites for first major flights, such as Gréolières 1400, Kennedy, Gourdon and Gréolières.

Debriefing

Video analysis of your flights, areas for improvement, advice for the future.

What internships do you offer?
Four packages: Discovery Day (1 day, €260), Initiation Course (5 days €690, also 3 days €420 / 2 days €290), Advanced Course (5 days €750, also 3 days €450 / 2 days €300) and Southern Discovery Course (5 days, €800). FFVL license/insurance extra.
Is prior experience necessary?
No, the Discovery and Initiation courses are designed for beginners. The Perfectionnement and Découverte du Sud courses require autonomous flying experience.
What is an introductory internship like?
A full week alternating theory lessons (aerology, weather, safety) and practical lessons (training slope then long flights). You'll make your first solo flights at the end of the week.
Is the equipment provided?
Yes, all equipment is provided: wing, harness, reserve parachute, helmet, radio. You only need suitable clothing and good shoes.
From what age can you do an internship?
From age 12 with parental permission. You must weigh between 30 and 90 kg.
Where do the courses take place?
Mainly at Gréolières in the Azur Pre-Alps, 45 minutes from Nice. Other sites (Gourdon, Roquebrune) are used depending on conditions and your ability.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The programme is adapted: theory, ground exercises, or postponement of the session. We never fly in bad conditions.

Certainly! Our The paragliding school is 45 minutes from Nice., which makes it an ideal spot for progressing in free flight near you. Our Nice paragliding school is FFVL-accredited, with state-qualified instructors who will guide you from your pilot’s licence right through to full independence.
