Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, ideally located between Monaco and Menton, is the perfect base from which to discover the paragliding. At Ailéments, a small family-run business, we put the emphasis on quality through experience.
Mont Gros site - Roquebrune (678 m) - December to March
Full disclosure: we only fly at Mont Gros from December to March, weather permitting. It's a pretty spot with a sea view and a landing on the Golfe Bleu beach, but the limited height difference (300 m) makes for short flights of 15 to 20 minutes.

Take-off is from Mont Gros, 678 metres above sea level, on the heights of Roquebrune Cap Martin. The site offers an exceptional panoramic view of Monaco, Menton and the entire Côte d'Azur. A large car park serves the take-off area, which is a 5-minute walk away. The day before your flight, you'll receive an SMS with the exact GPS coordinates and meeting time.
There are several options available to you. By car, take off from La Turbie along the Mont Agel road. A ZestBus shuttle is also available (book on 08 00 74 05 38 or zestbus.fr) every day except Tuesday and Wednesday. If you're more sporty, there's a footpath that takes around 1? hours.
Flights from Roquebrune Cap Martin take place mainly from November to April, when the Golfe Bleu landing beach is not frequented by bathers. In summer, we offer flights to our other sites (Gréolières, Gourdon). This seasonal pattern means that you can fly in the Côte d'Azur winter sunshine when the rest of Europe is covered in snow.
From Nice, allow around 30-40 minutes by car via the A8 or the Moyenne Corniche. The train is an excellent alternative: Roquebrune Cap Martin station is right next to the Golfe Bleu landing strip, 30 minutes from Nice-City. From Monaco, it takes 15 minutes, and from Menton 10 minutes.
Children as young as 4 years old can fly with our Child Flight package, specially designed for them. These flights are scheduled in the morning between 8am and 10am, when the air conditions are calmer. Our instructors adapt their approach to reassure the youngest with measured sensations. There's no maximum age, as long as you're fit enough to do a few running steps on take-off.
The maximum weight is 90 kg for technical reasons linked to the certification of tandem equipment. Above this weight, the glider cannot guarantee an optimal and safe flight. If you are close to this limit, contact us to discuss it: depending on the conditions on the day and the instructor available, solutions can sometimes be found.
Make sure you wear appropriate clothing: closed shoes such as trainers (no sandals or flip-flops for landing on the beach), long trousers and a windproof jacket. Even if we're flying by the sea, it's cooler at altitude. In winter, add gloves and a hat. We supply an approved helmet and a comfortable harness. And don't forget your sunglasses to make the most of the panoramic views.
Safety is our absolute priority. If the weather conditions do not allow you to fly safely (too strong a wind, thunderstorm, rain), we can offer you a free reschedule to the date of your choice. There are no costs to you until the flight takes place. The day before the flight, your instructor analyses the forecast and confirms the flight or postponement by text message.

No, tandem paragliding is accessible to everyone, including beginners. You don't need any previous experience. The only requirement is to be able to take a few running steps on take-off (5 to 10 metres). Once in the air, you're comfortably seated in the harness and all you have to do is enjoy the flight over the Mediterranean. The instructor manages the entire flight.
Absolutely. During the briefing, tell your instructor what you'd like to do: a contemplative flight to admire Monaco and the sea, or a dynamic flight with tricks like wing-overs (big oscillations) or 360°s (tight turns). Acrobatics are included in all our packages on request, weather conditions permitting.
Yes, landing on the Golfe Bleu beach is the perfect opportunity to extend the experience with a swim in the Mediterranean (for the bravest in winter). The beach also has restaurants and cafés to celebrate your flight.
Yes, it's even common. If the experience of baptism makes you want to go further, discover our paragliding courses.
