Caussols is a village perched at an altitude of 1,130 metres on a limestone plateau that is unique in France. Situated just 10 minutes from the free flying site of Gréolières, This is the ideal starting point for discovering paragliding above the Préalpes d'Azur. The region's favourable weather conditions make it possible to fly most of the year.
The Gréolières site, on the crests of the Cheiron, is our main location for first flights. paragliding. Accessible in just a few minutes from Caussols, this 1,800 metre high take-off offers exceptional flying conditions, with panoramic views over the whole of the Côte d'Azur. Thermal updrafts are particularly regular in spring and summer.

This unique karstic landscape, dotted with dolines and lapiaz, is home to one of the purest skies in France, which is why the Calern observatory is based there. From the Caussols plateau to the crests of the Cheiron :
Express appointment - From Caussols, it takes just 10 minutes to reach your instructor at the take-off point at Gréolières. You're the site's neighbours, so you might as well make the most of it.
On the ground - Seat, helmet, harness: your state-certified instructor will fit you out and brief you. The instructions are short and to the point, putting you at ease straight away.
Take-off - Facing the plateau and the sea in the distance, a few committed steps and off you go. The sail sucks you in, the ground disappears, the landscape opens up beneath your feet.
In flight - The Calern observatory, the dolines of the plateau, the Préalpes d'Azur at 360°... and the Mediterranean in the background. You can fly for a few moments or ask for acrobatic tricks if you feel like it.
Gently laid - Landing on the meadow of Gréolières village, at the foot of our school. Debriefing and video recovery if you have chosen this option.

The Gréolières site is just 10 minutes from Caussols via the Route des Crêtes. Perched at 1400 metres on the southern slopes of the Cheiron, this take-off offers a direct view of the Caussols plateau and its karstic formations. You will receive the exact GPS coordinates by text message the day before your flight.
The CERGA observatory is perfectly visible from the sky during your flight. Built in 1974 at an altitude of 1270 metres, this research centre was set up here precisely because of the exceptional purity of the Caussols sky, one of the clearest in France. You'll discover its white domes from a unique angle, nestling in the heart of the limestone plateau.
The Caussols plateau enjoys an exceptional microclimate, with over 300 days of clear skies a year. In winter and spring, conditions are ideal, with regular updrafts. Summer is also favourable for early morning or late afternoon flights. Autumn offers incomparable golden light over the breathtaking scenery of the Pre-Alps. You can enjoy this activity all year round.
This is one of the great advantages of Caussols: you're already at an altitude of 1,130 metres, so it's just 10 minutes from take-off from Gréolières on the D12. The panoramic route over the crests is part of the adventure, with breathtaking views over the plateau and valley. Free parking available at the take-off site.
We welcome children from the age of 4 with our Child Flight package at €100. These flights are scheduled in the morning between 8am and 10am, when the air is calm and conditions perfectly stable. Our instructors adapt their approach to reassure the youngest and give them a memorable first flying experience. There's no maximum age, as long as you're in good physical condition to do a few running steps on take-off.
The limit is 90 kg, determined by the certification of our tandem equipment. Above this weight, the glider cannot guarantee optimal flight in terms of performance and safety. If you are close to this limit, don't hesitate to contact us to discuss it, and we'll find a solution together.
Even in midsummer, make sure you wear warm clothing, as it's always cooler at altitude. Here's what we recommend:
Safety is our absolute priority: if conditions do not allow you to fly safely, your flight will be postponed free of charge to the date of your choice. You pay nothing until the flight takes place. The day before, you will receive a confirmation or postponement text message. Conditions that prevent the flight from taking place include strong winds, thunderstorms or rain.

The GoPro video option is available for €30 (included in the Prestige Flight). Your instructor films the highlights of your adventure: the take-off with the panorama in front of you, the flights over the plateau and the coast, and the soft landing. The HD file is transferred directly to your phone after the flight.
