Paragliding in Gréolières can be enjoyed all year round, summer and winter alike. The only factor to take into account is the weather conditions. If the weather is bad, the paragliding trip will simply be postponed or cancelled.
The paraglider travels at an altitude of around 40 km/h and as a passenger you will be facing into the wind. We advise you to dress as if you were going for a scooter ride in the mountains. As for footwear, we recommend hiking or running shoes.

The Cheiron range offers a vast panorama of the high country, from the Mercantour to the Pre-Alps and the coast. The environments are highly varied and contrasting: rocky outcrops, scree, grasslands, forests, wooded slopes, wide grassy plains and the deep rivers that border the Loup valley. The open environments are made up of garides and karstic limestone grasslands. The range of remarkable plants is also very rich, in particular Bertoloni's columbine, Spiny horehound and Ashy sandwort.
Local nesting birds of prey include diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey such as the Circaeton.
It is also home to the white St. John's eagle, the peregrine falcon, the bee-eater, a forest bird of prey, and the prestigious golden eagle.

By practising thermal ascents, you get to glide and glide on a hang-glider, take to the skies, descend close to the ridges and, as a bonus, I got to fly the paraglider. On holiday in Nice, we went to the hills to visit the hinterland and we took the opportunity to go hiking. canyoning and a first flight in a paraglider in the village of Gréolières. Pierrot, our instructor, taught us everything we needed to know and gave us a magical experience. Although the take-off and landing were a little impressive, we quickly felt confident and the flight went very smoothly. It was like gliding through the middle of nature...
