What qualifications do our instructors have?All our instructors hold the Brevet d'Etat d'Éducateur Sportif option paragliding. They are also trained in first aid and regularly follow additional training courses. Pierrot, the school's founder, has over 15 years' experience as a pilot and instructor.
Conditions and restrictions
Is there a minimum or maximum age?The activity is open to children aged 6 and over (subject to a minimum weight of 20kg), with no upper age limit as long as physical fitness permits. Our doyen celebrated his 92nd birthday paragliding!
Is there a maximum weight?For safety reasons and to ensure optimum flight, the maximum weight limit is 95 kg. This is a strict limit, particularly for very sporty people whose muscle mass can affect the glider's performance.
Do you have to be sporty to paraglide?A minimum level of physical fitness is required for paragliding. You must be able to run during take-off and have no joint problems that could be aggravated by the landing. No exceptional sporting performance is required, but normal mobility is necessary to fully enjoy the experience.
Flight experience
I'm afraid of heights, can I still go paragliding?Surprisingly, most people suffering from vertigo do not experience this sensation when paragliding, as there is no direct visual reference with the ground as there is on a balcony. The experience is closer to that of being in an aeroplane.
Can you fly yourself during the flight?Yes, if you wish and conditions allow, your instructor can let you take the controls for a few moments, always under his supervision.
