If you are more in the mood for camping on your holidays and you are looking for activities around of the gorges du loup, we recommend two campsites.
On Castellane Terra Verdon campsite where you are 45 minutes from Gréolieres and 20 minutes from the Verdon. A really nice campsite, very popular with families. You'll find a top-notch entertainment team.
In the Gorges du Loup, 5 minutes from Gréolieres for your paragliding and canyoning activities, a small, quiet family campsite, gorges du Loup campsite. You'll find Annie there to take good care of you.
Canyoning in the gorges du loup
The Gorges du Loup are a must-see place for water sports. Canyoning in the Alpes-Maritimes. We offer several canyoning descents: A canyon day with Bès Courmes where we have two sections, one vertical with some great abseils, including one 60m long, and the second more aquatic section with some great jumps and slides.
For a half-day outing, we suggest the Gours du Ray canyon with beautiful turquoise pools. The meeting point is on site, and we had a short approach walk of 20 minutes, followed by 2 hours in the water going down the river over obstacles, then a 30-minute climb back up to the car. This canyon is accessible from 8 years old.
Hiking, a natural activity in Gréolières
Starting out from the typical village of Gréolières, there are many walks are possible. You can decide to take a little height towards the crests of Cheiron, a GR passes at the foot of the mirrors towards Coursegoules, you also have the possibility of going to the Crests by way of Gréolieres les neige the ski resort.
If you prefer to stroll along the gorges du loupStarting from Bramafan, the route takes you to Grasse via the village of Gourdon. This hike is quite aerial and overlooks the gorges du loup canyon. A path also runs alongside the canyon, and you can take the footbridge to Pont Du Loup to visit the confiserie Florian.
Road cycling and mountain biking, ideal activities in the Gorges du Loup
Road bikes
At Ailéments we like to drive on the roads of the high country to discover the beauty of nature. A classic from Gréolieres will take you to the Esteron valley, where you'll discover the magnificent Riolan canyon as well as the Clue d'aiglun. You'll also pass through the magnificent villages of Le Mas and Consegudes, as well as Roquesteron. You can return via the Gorges du Loup, which is ideal when the weather is hot, as it keeps you cool. It's a 110km loop through the heart of nature. There's also the option of a pretty ride over the Col de Vence and back through the Gorges du Loup, a 50-kilometre circuit much appreciated by local cyclists.
Mountain bike
For mountain bikers, the resort of Gréolieres les Neiges offers a magnificent playground, between the ski slopes and the long-distance footpaths, pedalling with a view of the sea, a unique moment on the crests of the Cheiron. The Calerne and Saint Barnabé plateaux are also ideal for gentle walks.
If you like downhill cycling, there is a magnificent single from the village of Courmes that will take you to the loup sur Bramafan, where you usually have to park at the bottom and get on your bike or take the shuttle by car. You'll find something for the most seasoned riders, the moulière bike park where a beautiful descent through the pine forests awaits you, and this time you'll go back up the slopes in a chairlift.

After a fine paragliding flight on the Crètes du Cheiron or a refreshing canyoning trip in the Gorges du Loup, what could be nicer than a good little restaurant followed by a stroll through the streets of our medieval villages? Gourdon, very popular for its view of the sea and its small craftsmen, is quite busy in season but nevertheless remains a must-see in the Grasse region. Coursegoules towards Vences pass is quieter and a great place to grab a crêpe before or after a sea-view walk. Finally GréolieresGréolois, base camp for the Ailéments team, is a wonderful place to spend a day or a weekend with the family. The Gréolois offer nature activities, good restaurants such as the Relai de chez Phil or the Veille auberge and an afternoon swim in the Gorges du Loup. There's plenty to do to make the most of your holiday!
